Written by HHFL kids, Samuel & Mary, in appreciation of the Rosenbaum family for their generosity during their holiday visit.
Dear Rosenbaum Family,
We highly hope you are doing fine. As for us, the HHFL kids, we are great and honoured to get this opportunity to write to you.
Our normal life has not always been this joyous; we highly appreciated your presence here in spite of the wet weather. The little time that we had you among us meant a lot to each one of us. Such moments to us last forever in our hearts, we forever treasure them. Coming to this place, having to travel such a long distance makes us speechless. We find it hard how to appreciate it. Interacting with each one of you was a chance in a life time. You put a smile on our faces. Your names will forever be pinned in our minds.
We had unforgettable moments with you. Saying hi, holding your hands, knowing your names was all fun. Sharing ‘kuku’-chicken, chapatti for lunch with you was simply unforgettable. Receiving the gifts from Lance and Will was awesome. Will’s dance moves were amazing. Most of the kids are still trying to get them right. These moments will always stay fresh in our hearts.
You brought so many gifts to us. We hardly remember the last time we had such. You have surely started off the festive season in a blessed way. Be sure that the gifts you brought will be so helpful in this holiday’s activities. In Art you have provided more than enough materials for this holidays work. We’ll send pictures of the various Art works we will have come up with. The soccer balls, skipping ropes and the volley ball that you brought will come in hand during outdoor games. We are enjoying playing the football. Most of us are learning how to skip the ropes, lol. The indoor games come in handy keeping the kids busy and in juggling their minds, which will highly contribute in their academic performance.
We are humbled to have you as part of our family. You mean a lot to us. We would like to spend more time with you and have you involved in our activities.
Welcome again anytime (Asante Sana!)
